Louis Vuitton Jacquard Denim Skate Pants Cream

These are the Louis Vuitton Jacquard Denim Skate Pants in cream, a relaxed five-pocket jean with a tonal checkerboard pattern woven into the denim. Buy them if you want Louis Vuitton's Damier check on a pair of jeans in a way that only shows up close.

The pattern is jacquard-woven, not printed: squares in cream, off-white and pale sand run down both legs, fading in and out like a worn-in patchwork, so the check is part of the cloth and won't crack or wash off. The cut is a skate fit with a straight, roomy leg that falls cleanly to the ankle. There's a classic five-pocket layout, belt loops, a button fly with a gold-tone shank button and a Louis Vuitton label at the inside back waistband.

They're for someone who wants light-colored denim with some depth to it. Wear them with a white or washed tee, a cream knit or a dark jacket for contrast. What separates them from plain ecru jeans is the woven check. It gives you house branding without a single logo on the outside, and you notice it more the closer you get.
